So the standing begins...
While Princess Crinkle Nose still crawls like an an army private in the muck, she can absolutely stand tall. She's got the Torguson legs, thats for sure. Strong, stout, and able to kick holes in walls with no problems. I've always thought that the women in our family missed the calling of being speed skaters, yeah, the thighs are a little something like that. So anywhoo, as I hustle in the kitchen to wipe and sanitize, sweep and grind tomorrow's beans, I often hear the Katerkins grunting that "i'm coming for you mommy" belly crawl huff that lets me know her general proximity (and reassures me that she's not trying to go fishing in the litter box in the office...ew.). So this time I peeked around the corner, thinking she couldn't be far off and found her peering outside of our big bay window, standing strongly on her stout little legs and beating on the little table that used to be the last safe haven for our poor, tortured cat. What a miracle this little being is, and how quickly she's gone from being my little grublet to a tiny premobile person with a whipcrack sense of comedic timing. She really is something special. We went to see our friend Nate the other weekend (he works at a furniture store) while we were shopping for a new mattress. Nate had recently broken his arm and was showing off the emaciated little shriveled zombie twig now filling in for where his arm used to be. As that Nate and I have what one might call an "antagonistic relationship", I proceeded to tell him that he now was the proud owner of a "chicken arm". While he began to glare at me, Katie began saying "bock bock bock" in her sweet little voice, absolutely spot on with her impression of what a chicken sounds like. We all burst out laughing at her brilliance, even good old "chicken Nate" who may never let me into his store again. Ah, my daughter is brilliant.

I'd not thought it possible... but somehow, some way, your little Miss Bliss is even cuter than ever... How DO they do that??
